June and July
Applications are open from 11 June - 8 July 2018.
15 startups and SMEs shortlisted to attend workshops and mentoring sessions with Bethnal Green Ventures to help them prepare for running a successful pilot. Approximately 3-5 days attendance required.
Shortlisted startups and SMEs meet with the Challenge Partners to better understand the problem and set the criteria for a successful pilot. The output will be a clear plan on how to test and validate their solution with support from the partner.
October and November
Experimentation and validation
One startup or SME from each challenge (seven in total) will be selected to progress to the experimentation and validation phase. They will work closely with the Challenge Partner for two months to test and validate their solution and receive £15,000 from the GLA to support costs.
This is the big day where startups and SMEs will present the results of their pilot and share learning with an audience of potential customers, investors, partners and supporters.
WHAT happens afterwards?
Challenge Partners will actively explore ways to continue working with the startup or SME. This could involve ongoing implementation and integration, and/or access to additional funding, customers and partnerships.
